about
Father won't you please send all your love to me
'Cause I'm down and almost out
And say a prayer for me if you believe in that sort of thing
But just don't leave me out here to drown
Walked to the river's edge so I could clear my head
Watched the current moving fast
But then I stopped to stare at my reflection there
It was drifting down and never looking back
Felt like I saw a ghost, someone I didn't know
Faded straight into the dark
It looked a lot like me through a lens and a three-inch screen
But that couldn't be. No, I set myself apart
I know I wasted time and lost some friends of mine
Took them farther than they wished
But now I realize that you can spend a life
Just thinking something's normal till it's fixed
Life's so fragile, man
Too frail to walk or stand
The good years come and go
Much faster than you know
But there is still time left
Just depends how you measure it
The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
I enjoy this every time I hear it. I aspire to be this good some day. looking forward to celebrating 50 years anniversary of your band in the future. wouldn't that be nice. until then, stay safe c_g78
